Our previous venue
has told us it is relocating, due to `economic pressures` and `relocation venue`
will not be available in time for start of our new seasons programme.
Therefore, members
and friends wishing to join us at our meetings should note the new venue address
below, where free on-site parking is available.
There is a full bar
on-site for refreshments and the room is large and well appointed – so we hope
to see you all there – bring a friend or friends and enjoy an evening of railway
entertainment.
As before, our meetings are
held on the 1st Thursday of
Winter
months. Meet at 7:30 pm for 7.45pm start.

Meeting Programme is

1st September - "Isle
of Man Railways" by Peter Moore.
6th October
- "The
Long View of the Welsh Highland Railway"
by John Ewing.
John was instrumental
in forming TLC He was a director and their actions safeguarded the route before
passing its shares to the Festiniog Railway Co., that has allowed complete
rebuilding and now an operational railway – should be a fascinating programme.
3rd November -
"Pakistan's Railways" by David Bathurst.
1st December - Still
to be confirmed as we go to press.
5th January 2012 - "The Liverpool Overhead railway and Steam
in Romania in 1959 on DVD" by Steve Blakemoore.
